Beat the Agent: what we collect and why

How the challenge works

Beat the Agent is a one-hour engineering challenge, and you may use AI throughout. Each answer you upload is scored automatically, and your best score in the hour counts. Your score is compared with the best score frontier AI agents reached on the same problem. Your code and AI transcript are read by our engineering team but never scored.

What we collect

Your name, email, LinkedIn profile, your scores, the code you upload, and the transcript of your AI session.

Why we collect your transcript and code

Your score shows what you achieved. Your transcript and code show how: how you broke down the problem, how you directed the AI, and where you overruled it. Our engineering team reads them to decide whom to invite for a conversation. Don't include passwords, keys, or anything confidential in them.

How we use it

Only to evaluate you for engineering roles at Eventual. We don't sell it, share it outside Eventual, or use it to train AI models. The public leaderboard shows only your randomly generated username and score.

Retention

We delete your personal data, code, and transcript 12 months after your last attempt. If you move forward in our hiring process, the information you share then is handled under our standard candidate process.

Deletion

Ask any time using the link in any email from us, or by writing to contact@eventualclimate.com. We delete your personal data, code, and transcript within 30 days. An anonymous score may remain on the leaderboard.
